Iā€™m an evolutionary anthropologist/human behavioural ecologist/evolutionary demographer/evolutionary feminist (depending on the day of the week) with a particular interest in female reproductive decision making. I use evolutionary theory to bring insights into contemporary human behaviour; I primarily study people in WEIRD ā€“ Western, Educated, Industrialised, Rich, and Democratic ā€“ contexts, but I have also recently expanded to small-scale settings, collaborating with researchers working with the Tsimane of Bolivia and the Agta of the Philippines. My research focuses on maternal investment, postnatal depression, fertility, sex ratios, breastfeeding, mother-infant bonding, and occasionally Disney princesses! Follow me on Twitter – @SMyers1983
